About Us

The Northern California Mangalorean Association was founded in 1998 by a small group of Mangaloreans in the Bay Area. It has grown to become an association of about 200 people today.

Our Mission & Vision

The goal of the committee is to build a spirit of community, camaraderie, appreciation of our culture and awareness of our roots.

The vision is to keep the Mangalorean culture active and to celebrate the culture by bringing more from the same community together.

President NCMA

Betty Fernandes

A retired doctor and a mother of two kids who has been serving NCMA for years to bring the Mangalorean people in the Northern California together.

Founder

Sharon Aranha

A social worker and by profession was the founder of NCMA with a few others . Her goal has been to keep the community united and continue celebrating the rich culture.

Treasurer and Event Manager

Jason Sequiera

Engineer by profession Jason helps with event planning. He is a fantastic DJ and helps with all the technical requirements. Jason is also our treasurer starting 2023.

Vance Mendonca

Engineer by profession Vance is our Entertainment Chair. He manages the NCMA kids performances.
